I happen to pick this book up at the airport I had forgotten the one I was reading from home. So I just choose one from the best seller section and hoped it wouldn’t have too much language or sex within it’s pages.
What it’s about: Emily Giffin’s, Where We Belong – Is a story about the decision and lies of the past showing up on Marian’s front door whether or not she liked it or wanted it. You will ride the wave of emotions as Marian opens the locked doors of her past, weeding through the lies that were meant to protect her and those she loved.
What I liked: It was an intriguing story line one that will keep you guessing and wanting to know more. I connected with the may character’s mistakes, in the way our perspective and view limit our decision making and in hindsight we find out it was not the best decision to be made.
What I didn’t love: There are a couple of teenage love scenes that are little too detailed, if you know what I mean. There is also some curse words used – when she is portraying teenagers (I guess all teenagers use foul language?!)
Favorite quote: Even if we no longer have much in common, we would have always had the past, which, in some ways, is just as important as the present or future. It is where we come from, what makes us who we are.
