This week we will be featuring small businesses owned and operated by moms. Being a mom is tough. Owning a small business is tricky. Finding a way to balance both is pure magic. We have asked some of our favorite moms/small business owners to share a glimpse of their experience. Don’t forget to head over to this post for a chance to win a free pair of Freshly Picked moccasins.
To start this fun series off we would like to introduce you to Kim Kendall, owner of Clothes Minded Boutique in Ahwatukee, AZ. Kim is fun and spirited and her shop is darling. She officially opened the doors to her shop on February 1, 2013. My most favorite thing about Clothes Minded is how involved she is with the local community. She frequently holds events at her shop and even sells locally made goods from The Shine Project.
In three words, Kim describes her experience as amazing, overwhelming, and enlightening. She hopes that from her example her kids learn perseverance, she would love to see her kids persevere no matter how difficult a situation might be. Through all of this Kim has learned that sometimes she just has to say no. Isn’t that something we all need to learn and work on.
Thanks so much Kim for sharing a little bit about you and your shop with us today! If any of you readers are in the Phoenix area be sure to stop by Clothes Minded and check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
