Things to do in Phoenix this week (July 15-20)

Phoenix EventsIf you have kids in school then you know summer break is going quickly! Enjoy these last couple weeks of fun! And if you don’t have kids in school then we hope this week you can find ways to escape the humidity and enjoy Arizona.

Westgate Wednesdays in Glendale: Wednesday July 17 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Westgate Fountain Park. Join Radio Disney for fun and music every Wednesday through the end of July. Free!

Garden Flashlight Tours in Phoenix: Every Thursday and Saturday night from 7-9 pm at the Phoenix Botanical Garden until the end of August. Included in admission. We went a couple of weeks ago and had a great time.

Phoenix FC soccer in Tempe: Friday July 19 at 7:30 pm at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium. Tickets range from $9-29.

Challenger Space Center Anniversary Celebration in Peoria: July 19-20. Check the website for various activities during those two days. Activities include building rockets, star gazing, and parachute design. Adults $8, kids 3-12 $6, seniors and military $7, and 2 and under free.

Maricopa County Home and Garden Show in Glendale: July 19-21 from 10-6 (Friday and Saturday) and 10-5 (Sunday). Located at the University of Phoenix stadium. Adults $5, Kids 3-12 $2, 2 and under free. Bring a new backpack for free admission for 2. Check the website for other discounts.

Winter in July at the Phoenix Zoo: Saturday July 20 from 7-11 am. I’m pretty sure it’s free with admission, but you may want to double check before going. Have fun cooling off in the snow and watching the animals cool off too!
