Things to do in Phoenix this week (July 8-13)

We hope everyone had a delightful holiday week. We didn’t do anything too fancy, but we did have fun on the 4th swimming and having a BBQ with friends. This past week we also made it out to Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center in Chandler. It was so much fun. The experts over at Phoenix Patios put together a list of 10 Public Pools with Awesome Water Park Features. You must check it out and you (and your bank account) will not be disappointed that you did.

Summer Spectacular Art Walk in Scottsdale: Thursday July 11 from 7-9 pm located at the Scottsdale Arts District.

Slightly Stoopid in Mesa: Thursday July 11 at 5:30 pm at the Mesa Amphitheater. $35.

Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix: Mon- Sunday at various times. They have games all week. First against the LA Dodgers and then against the Milwaukee Brewers. Check website for times and ticket prices.

LEGO Kids Fest in Glendale: Friday July 12-Sunday July 14 at various times locates at the University of Phoenix Stadium. If you or your kids like LEGOs, you won’t want to miss this event! $19 for kids age 3-17, $21 for adults, free for 2 & under.

Summer Series Run/Walk 5 k at Kiwanis Park in Tempe: Saturday July 13 from 6:30- 10:30 am. Register early for $14.

Family Fun Day in Tempe: Saturday July 13 from 10 am- 2 pm at the ASU Art Museum. Lots of fun things for the whole family. Admission is free!

Bastille Day Celebration in Phoenix: Saturday and Sunday July 13-14 at different times each day.  Celebrate French culture and music. Check the website for times of various activities throughout the day. Included with admission.

Prowl and Play at the Zoo in Phoenix: Saturday July 13 from 6-9:30 pm. Get up close and personal with some smaller animals at the zoo and cool off in the splash pads. $6 for members and $8 for non members.

The Oasis After Dark at the Arizona Grand in Phoenix: Friday and Saturday nights at sundown you can enjoy a family movie while floating in the wave pool. Every Friday and Saturday night during the summer. Not sure how much it costs…sorry.

Slide Under the Stars in Mesa: Friday and Saturday nights during the summer at Golfland. 7-11 pm. $13.88.
