Each Wednesday the Tempe History Museum on the corner of Rural and Southern is the place to be on these hot summer days! From 10-3 each Wednesday through the end of July they are open for Wild Wednesdays (except July 3rd). If you have kids you don’t want to miss out on this free opportunity. When you walk in they have tables set up with information about the theme for the day. Then to the right they have booths set up with free kids crafts. As you walk further into the museum there are lots of fun interactive activities for the little ones. Roxie is only 15 months old and had a great time and so did my friend’s 5 year old. Here are some pictures from our adventures last week.
Working on crafts.
Playing on the farm truck and with the produce was Roxie’s favorite. And it kept her somewhat contained which made it easier for me.
There was a stage area with dress ups so the kids can put on plays. They mostly had fun opening and closing the curtains. Here my friend’s son is just wondering if he’s in charge of cleaning up the mess of dress ups.
Roxie had a great time riding the Tempe Police motorbike and looking at books.
There was lots more to explore. We will have to go back!! Thanks to all our friends who met up with us.
