Things to do in Phoenix this week (July 1-6)

Happy 4th of July!! The valley has a lot going on this week for the holiday. Over at they have put together a great list of things to do all across Phoenix on the 4th. Hop on over and check out their site to see what’s going on near you. And here is a list of some more great events for the holiday.

305 businesses across Arizona are participating in Independents Week from June 30-July 7 where you can get 20% off. Check the website to see which businesses are participating in your area. Also, make sure you print off the “Golden Coupon” from the website before heading out, unless you have a smart phone in which case you can just grab a digital copy.

3rd of July fireworks in Cave Creek: Wednesday July 3 dinner starts at 5, fireworks start at 9. Call ahead for reservations otherwise it’s first come first served. $10-30 for table reservation.

$5 BBQ and Fireworks display in Fort McDowell: Wednesday July3, From 2 pm- midnight. Enjoy the $5 buffet then stay for the free fireworks display in the evening.

Red, White and Boom Fireworks Festival in Phoenix: Thursday July 4 from 4-10 pm with fireworks at 9. No outside food is allowed so bring cash to enjoy the on site vendors. The Kids Zone Activity tickets are $1 each. Free admission to get in, but it does cost $10 per car to park in the designated parking lot.

Fire in the Sky in Gilbert: Thursday July 4 from 6-9 pm with fireworks at 8:30. This is a community food drive so bring some non-perishable food items and some cash for the some delicious treats. Free admission!

4th at the Fountain in Fountain Hills: Thursday July 4 from 5-10 pm. There are no fireworks, but there is a demo put on by the Arizona Skyhawks parachute team. $5 admission at the door. Bring some extra cash for the vendors. There will be a petting zoo, bounce house, slide, and dunk tanks. Located at 12925 N. Saguaro Blvd. Sorry I couldn’t find a website for more info.

4th of July Celebration in Queen Creek: Thursday July 4 from 5-10:30 pm at Schnepf Farms. $15 per car, $5 per wristband, $1 ride tickets (rides are 2-7 tickets). Wristbands get you unlimited access to water slides and bounce houses. Pony rides, rock climbing, bounce houses, train rides and the list goes on.

4th of July Fireworks Celebration in Chandler: Thursday July 4 from 7-9:30 pm. $5 per car. Free admission. You can bring outside food, but there will be food for sale on site. Fireworks show is at 9.

July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival in Tempe: Thursday July 4 from 5-11 pm. Air Force flyover, live music, food and drinks, and lots more. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the gate. Fireworks at 9:20.

Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix Fourth Celebration in Phoenix: Thursday July 4 from 6-10pm, rain or shine. Free family event features 3 stages of live entertainment, a kids zone, a classic car exhibit. Fireworks start at 9:30. Vendors on site for food!

D-backs Stars and Stripes in Phoenix: Friday July 5 at Chase Field. Tickets are $14-135, Game is at 6:40 then is followed by a fireworks spectacular. They have a game on Saturday and Sunday as well against the Colorado Rockies.
